diarrhea whilst 16 weeks pregnant

i have diarrhea and went to the chemist to see if i could buy anything and the lady said to go to the doctors , but to be honest i dont think theres anything they cant give you she said .
so whats the point in going then!
has anyone else had this whilst pg and could you buy anything or did doctor give you anything that helped.

No they can't give you anything - at least mine didn't. Unfortunately it's common because your immune system is low. The only thing you can do is drink lots and eat if you feel like it (e.g. chicken soup). Baby will be fine.

I had at least 2 or 3 lots of it. I think one lasted a week. Sorry!

I also suffered diahorrea lately and it is sooooo annoying (I'm 19+2). I just have to let it take it's course and try to keep my fluids up. You can't take immodium for it whilst pregnant as all that does is clog up your intestines and stops the infection from "coming out" as it were. Best just letting nature take it's course - just don't be far from a toilet at all times!

my doc said to take rapolyte when i had it earlier this week. I am 38 weeks and it was not pleasant!!!
