This might be a silly question but in relation to the 18 month guideline for TTC do they mean at least 18 months between the birth of babies or should you wait 18 months after the previous baby is born before you can even try again for the next?

Also is it wise to stick more strictly to this after a c section to avoid issues?

Morning Op, I had an EMCS last year and am 33+ weeks pregnant, so will have two under 16/17 months. There is a slight risk of complications but I’ve been reassured scar is healed after 12 months for most. Had no extra monitoring etc. Am being encouraged to try for VBAC.
I am worried about how I’ll manage if I need a second CS (highly likely), with a second small little one at home. But given our first took years to TTC, we didn’t want to wait, and feel so lucky to have had it happen for us.
For us, age, stage, and circumstance meant it was the right plan. Breast Feeding made it a bit trickier but luckily we fell once I spaced feeds.
Generally I found if I suggested TTC doctors weren’t happy, but once I was already pregnant, tone changed and the timing has barely been mentioned!
