Multi vitamins and pregnancy

Is there any parents who didn't take multi vitamins during pregnancy, I'm just curious about how the baby was upon birth and even after birth, do you feel like your child's brain development is slower in comparison to other children of that age? What I'm trying to ask is if you noticed any worries about your children whilst they were growing up which may have been Potentially caused due to lack of vitamins and folic acid?

I didn't take multi vitamins with my first. I only took folic acid and vitamin D but often forgot. I wasn't great at taking it at all.
He's always been quite advanced in nursery and then in school and he's 8 now.

I also didn't start taking folic acid with him until I was around 9 weeks as I didn't know I was pregnant. Which again, I only took as and when because I always forgot

I don’t think you’ll get very scientific answers anecdotally. You’d be better off seeing if there’s any scientific studies done on this or any official advice on the NHS website. There will always be people who’s children might fit the description of what you’re talking about but there’s no way of knowing whether that was because they did or didn’t take vitamins without data from a large scale study xx

I agree with the above post. Parents are not unbiased and objective when it comes to their child. And even if they acknowledged their child was below average on growth/intelligence etc then you can’t say it’s because of vitamin intake.
