Hcg levels done from my work?

Hi, so I'm either early on in pregnancy or I have pregnancy of unknown location. I had my hcg levels checked at doctors yesterday and they want to check them within 48 hours, that would be tomorrow.

I'm a nurse and I work at the hospital in an elderly unit. The midwife gave me a blood slip and asked if I could just get someone from my ward to check my bloods and send them off. At the time I didn't think anything of it.

However, now it means I need to tell one of my colleagues (I don't trust any of them) this information and ask if they can do my bloods? Means risking people finding out this early on and I don't feel it's appropriate?

Does anyone else agree with me. The health centre is closed over the weekend hence why they can't check them but I'm tempted to just phone on monday and go along and have it done by them then as I just feel asking to do it at my work puts me in an uncomfortable position.

Thoughts?

Could you just ask them to take the sample, assuming you know which bottle, then you could just drop it to the lab yourself and no one will need to see the form?
