Which brand of TENS machine - Elle or Mama Tens?

Hi all. I'm pretty new to Mumsnet as not yet a Mum...
I'm now 30 weeks pregnant and thinking I should start to get organised for my homebirth. There are loads of TENS machines for hire but I reckon I've narrowed it down to Elle or Mama TENS. Anyone got experience of either of these? How do I choose? Only planning to use it until I get in the pool which I haven't got around to sorting out yet either... Any advice appreciated

All TNs machines essentially do the same thing, the only difference with obs ones is they have a hand held push button for the extra boost (if you can get on with them!). The main difference is the colour/design of the unit. I would go for the company which is giving you then longest hire for the cheapest price

yes, as long as it has the 'boost' button, go for the best hire terms.

re birthpool - if budget is not too tight, you can get a rigid sided pool with heater, filter and safety cover so that you can have it set up in advance and its lovely to sit in before birth to take the weight off the bump for a bit!
i had one like this tho i cant remeber what firm i got it from. they were brilliant. delivered early as it was getting close the christmas and they didnt want to have delivery issues, and not at all bothered by us keeping it for easily 3 extra (free) weeks.

there are, of course, many other options. some more economical and you may not have space to have it set up for a few weeks...

good luck
