So I've had a this since I had Covid a few months back, it's never really gone away but I've read it's also a pregnancy symptom to... However over the last week my nose has blocked one side and then the other with no relief... Did you ever have nose trouble and if so did it eventually go after giving birth?

Yes I've had it most of the way through I feel like I can't breathe and my god is it stressful, I've found vaporub really helps I think it calms me and makes me take deeper breaths

Yeah, I’ve had a blocked nose for most of my pregnancy. It’s annoying to say the least!

I’m 30 weeks and I’ve had it for the last couple of months. Drives me mad!

Yes, it's called pregnancy rhinitis and I self diagnosed from MN after GP didn't understand what I was talking about. Was awful and the congestion in my throat made me sick. It did go after birth though and I didn't get it with DC2. There are various thoughts around saline solutions etc but I found the only thing that helped was blowing my nose every 5 minutes. Yet another delight of pregancy...

Yeo it's a thing! Pregnancy rhinitis. Mines now been so bad for so long that I now have regular nosebleeds when I blow my nose!

Vicks I'm has been useful olbas oil

Ah cool! Thank you everyone. I also manage to break blood vessels in my nose from trying to sort it out, it's a pain and a half! I have no umph either anymore to blow my nose and clear it, it's making me feel so pissed off! Glad there's a light though and it should disappear! Xxx

I've had it most of this pregnancy, never had it in my other 4 term ones. I thought it was easing off last week but it's back worse this week. I always wake up with one blocked nostril, side sleeper so I'm not woken by it atm. I like olbas oil, pop in oil burner or on a bit of tissue close to me. Looking likely that relief will only come after birth, due date is almost 21 weeks away (meh).

@Chelyanne I've held off using vicks and olbas... It's my first baby so got concerned about taking anything unless paracetamol for pain! Yet now I've done some hypobirth antenatal classes apparently essential oils are all good! Can't win 😂
