Pregnant 3 weeks after miscarriage?

Had a miscarriage at 9w1d on 3/1. Belly seemed to be growing/ bloated and nausea stuck around. Took a hpt on 3/15 on (25u dipstick) early test and it was blotchy but positive. Took another hpt on 3/21 and it was also blotchy positive. Took another on 3/23 and it was BFP not blotchy. Could I be pregnant again so soon? I had unprotected sex 6 days after miscarriage as my bleeding had stopped completely, but used pull out method.

Have you had a checkup with your doctor after your miscarriage? Positive tests so early after are more likely to be residual hcg from the miscarriage. It often takes 3 weeks or more for hcg to go down enough to get a negative test. Sometimes the miscarriage is not complete and hcg continues to be produced. You need to talk to your doctor. Good luck!

Agree that you need to speak to a doctor. I was asked to call the EPU if I didn't get a negative 2 weeks following my miscarriage. They said they would scan me. Sorry for your loss and all the best Flowers

Have you had a negative at all since the miscarriage?
I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and the test took 6 weeks to go negative

I am scheduled to go today to see my OB, it has been 3 weeks since I first started bleeding. Hopefully they will give me a scan and will know what’s going on.
I have not had a negative. The first test I took was at 2 weeks which my OB told me to call if it was positive and I’m going in today. Thank you for the feedback, I just wanted to ask others opinions and experiences as I was getting my hopes up.

Hi @Anonymouss864 I've had 2 miscarriages and each time I was getting positive tests 5 weeks after the bleeding started so it may just be that. Hopefully you find out soon!

It does sound like it's just still positive from your miscarriage. Exactly what I had. And the later your miscarriage, the longer it usually takes to go negative as the hcg doesn't just instantly drop
