Hey girls, I had a miscarriage last September, I found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago, I’ve not had any bleeding or anything but I’ve had bellyache and backache, I have still got really tender breasts with a couple of other symptoms still.. I did a clear blue test a few days ago and it only said 2-3, I’m not actually sure what it should be saying, I’d of thought 3+ by now, with the pains I’ve been having I just feel something isn’t right! Any advice would be great!xxxx

These were my only symptoms in the early days and I'm currently 36 weeks.

I'd try not to focus on the tests, if you're really worried perhaps book an early scan when you'd be around 7/8 weeks to get reassurance?

Give it a few days and see how you feel. I would say these are all normal symptoms. However if you have a deep down thought something isn’t right, maybe ring your doctors.

Thankyou, sometimes you just can’t help but think about the negatives! When I had my miscarriage in September I also done a clear blue test which said 2-3 when it should have been 3+ and it turned out it was because of a miscarriage! Fingers crossed it’s not the same this time 🤞xx

Please don't focus on the tests. It's very normal to not feel like something is right when you've already experienced miscarriage.
Please don't focus on the symptoms either. It doesn't mean anything. They can come and go or just not even appear at all. It's all normal.
I've only ever had sore boobs that come and go and if anything, had more symptoms when I had my miscarriages.

How far are you now?

The tests aren't reliable with the weeks indicators. It's just a rough guide.

I had pains in 3/4 of my pregnancies and they were fine. Try to distract yourself with nice thoughts. I hope it all works out well x

I had 2 MCs last year and then when I got pregnant again I booked an early scan at window to the womb I had one at 7 weeks and one again at 10 weeks to put my mind at ready before the 12 week scan

You have to remember that they are only snap shots in time and I was still anxious but it really helped me

Congratulations on your pregnancy I hope everything works out for you

Thanks so much everyone! I should be around 6 weeks, very early! There would be no point contacting doctors etc as they are not interested unless you’re a lot further along! I won’t be doing anymore tests, I know it’s normal to have certain pains and twinges early on, I’ve not been in agony, I’ve just had a feeling like I did last time that something doesn’t quite feel right xx

Hi @Cls1993 if you're sure you're at least 6 weeks you could book a private reassurance scan? Some do internal scans too x

Cls1993 · 23/03/2021 21:33

@bez91 that’s definitely a possibility! I think I’ll give it a week or so and see if there is any bleeding or anything, if there isn’t I think I’ll do that, I think I’m just so paranoid because of what happened last time, I do actually have 2 children already and don’t ever remember any pains or complications when I had them! Although it’s not easy to remember 8 and 5 years ago! Feels like a lifetime! Thankyou xxx

@Cls1993 I did exactly the same thing. I had a mmc 4 years ago which is my only other experience of pregnancy. I’ve felt all along like I’m just waiting for it to go wrong again (absolutely no signs to say anything is wrong, just paranoia and setting my defences ready just in case I think.)
I thought the tests that show the number of weeks would reassure me. I did the test at 6 weeks expecting 3+ and it stayed at 2-3. Spent the day crying thinking well this is it. Then found this site and found a few reassuring posts. I did another test 5 days later ( I couldn’t wait any longer) and it said 3+. I’m still only 8 weeks, but did another this week before I saw the midwife to check it was still saying 3+ 😂

l’m thinking of getting a private scan maybe week 9 or 10 just to set my mind at ease for bit until my 12 week scan, but I think I’ll just be worried until the baby actually arrives (and then I guess forever 🤷‍♀️😂)

Cls1993 · 23/03/2021 22:37

@SECNAA I completely know how you feel, every pain I get I think “this is it” I just have a bad feeling like I did last time, and last time my feelings were right.. hopefully not this time, but only time will tell! I think the best option for me is to just wait it out a couple of weeks and perhaps book an early scan if it continues! That’s such good news, I’m sure you’re pregnancy will be absolutely fine, all the best to you! And yes, the worrying never ends unfortunately, even when they are here🤷‍♀️😂xx
