Niggly pains on left side

Second baby, I'm almost 8 weeks. For about 3 weeks or so I've been having niggly pains on my left side, exactly where my ovary would be. It feels very similar to the ovulation pain I get usually. It comes and goes but is mostly in the evening. Every once in a while I also get it on the other side which is keeping me hopeful that it is just stretching pains.

My left ovary has always been the annoying one that is more painful to ovulate from and its the one I've had cysts on in the past.

Is it probably nothing? It has crossed my mind about ectopic but not enough for me to escalate it. Would I know by now, if it was?

I have a private early scan booked for next Weds for reassurance.

I had similar, turns out I had a small cyst on my ovary which sonographer noticed at 12w scan. She also knew this was the side I'd ovulated from and said it was quite common to see this. It couldn't be seen at 20w scan and I've had no problems since. Baby now 10 days old. Hope all goes okay Smile

Thanks @LunaHardy and congrats on yr baby! I'm hoping this is the case for me. I know I ovulated on this side too.
