Pre 12 week scan nerves

I really just need some reassurance.

I have no reason to think anything is wrong as I had an early scan at 8+1 with a strong heartbeat of 168 and no issues that the sonographer could see. No bleeding and slight cramping which I'm told is normal but I can't shake the feeling something will have gone wrong by the time I get to my scan on Friday, definitely not helped by Googling mmc!

It's completely normal. If anything, I'd say it would be more strange for you not to worry!
Something pretty much all pregnant women do. The worrying never stops!

It's completely normal. I was a nervous wreck in the lead up to mine and burst into tears when they said there was a heartbeat. I'm on my third attempt at the dating scan as baby wouldn't cooperate and still get scanxiety. Good luck x

Glad to know I'm at least a bit normal 😂 just can't wait to get to 12 weeks cause it'll feel like the last 8 weeks of worrying have been worth it! Then im sure it'll be the next stages of pregnancy that start to keep me awake!

I was so so anxious before my 12 week scan, it's definitely the most nerve wracking one and it's totally normal to feel worried. My best advice would be to keep your mind busy, start a new tv show or download candy crush or something and just try and zone out as much as possible. The fact you've already had a scan is a massive positive so try and focus on that! You've done the longest 3 months, I found the first trimester the hardest for my nerves and anxiety and you're almost there. Good luck and keep busy Smile
