I'm 23 weeks pregnant and my back has been hurting, so I've bought a back massager from homedics, it has the shiatsu and tapping massage options, I've heard lots of horror stories about it being dangerous, if I used it for an 1-2 hours a day to have a back massage would it be harmful to the baby?

It's recommended that you don't use such things in pregnancy. Something to do with pressure points which can trigger contractions.
Maybe try a nice bath instead or get a professional massage from someone trained for pregnancy once they are available.
