I have my 12 week scan tomorrow, I'm so nervous, I'm annoying myself with the worry as well as the people around me! Luckily my OH is opposite to me and is calm and is more of the attitude whatever happens we will deal with it.

I'm worrying there's going to be nothing there when I go and I worry about the combined screening tests, it's my first pregnancy and I'm 36. I do want to just calm down and have a 'whatever will be will be' attitude but it's so difficult. I've not had any signs to say anything is wrong - no spotting, bleeding etc but I'm just overthinking everything.
Aargh! I did not think pregnancy would cause so much anxiety.

Mine is September 30th! My calculations were 2nd October so not far off I’m 12+6 today.

LunaDreams · 24/03/2021 18:30

I'm also September 30th! Just one day earlier than I'd estimated so pleased it's all matching up.

I may be biased now but I think it's a great time of year to be born :)

I thought I was going to be 1st Oct and it's 27th Sept so I'm 13wk2days today, I like that I've jumped a step on my Pregnancy+ app!

so at my 6 weeks scan I was told I hadn't drank enough and I drank like two full pints of water. now I'm hearing people say they drank too much, does anyone know the amount recommended before a scan? xxx

If I were you I would just drink the recommended 1.5 litres. It’s better to have to empty your bladder (like i had to) rather than have to come back another day! I think I’m an odd one out for needing to empty mine.

Has anyone had their combined screening results yet? (If you opted to have it)

I’m still waiting for mine three weeks post scan Confused

LunaDreams · 28/03/2021 14:15

@penguin7 I had mine yesterday, so only 3 days after scan, and a date for my 20 week scan on 13th May! Luckily all my results came back as very low risk so another step towards healthy baby hopefully 🤞🤞

penguin7 · 28/03/2021 16:54

@SmidgenofaPigeon that's such a long wait, hopefully no news is good news!

@LunaDreams that's great news you've received your results, did you get a letter or phone call? I'm just preparing myself to be on edge again tomorrow waiting for my phone to ring! Hoping I get a letter soon! I made my 20week scan appointment when I was there for my 12week so I go for that on 14th May so similar date to you.

@penguin7 I had a letter. It didn't have my NT measurement on it interestingly but I'm not worried about that based on what they said during scan and my blood results.

Hope you get your results soon and that they are all ok

penguin7 · 28/03/2021 17:37

@LunaDreams thank you, I will keep you updated x

Also had my letter which said lower risk. Different trusts different turn around times I suppose. I was told if it was of concern they'd give me a call and that no news was good news - hopefully that is the same for you @penguin7 best of luck x

BeeDavis · 29/03/2021 12:21

Got my letter on Saturday so 4 days after my scan! Low risk, phew! 20 week scan is 13th May x

penguin7 · 03/04/2021 14:21

Just got results letter today from my blood tests/screening all lower chance results!
Had scan on 23rd letter dated 31st x
