Movements with IUGR

For ladies who have had babies with IUGR, did you still feel a lot of movements?

I have a subamniotic hematoma (bleed inside the sac) which appears to have originated from a tear in the umbillical cord at the placenta site.

They are very very rare so getting any information about prognosis is impossible.

The baby was slightly small at the 20 week scan, abdomen circ especially. I have been referred for growth scans and consultant from 24.5 weeks. I have another 10 days to go before the scan but the wait (as many of you know) is not fun!

The reason I ask is that I have a very active baby, that feels like they are getting stronger. While this feels like a good sign, I'm worried that I'm getting my hopes up that everything is going to be fine when the outcome could be awful.

If you had IUGR with plenty of movements can you please let me know so I can temper my expectations a bit. Thanks.

Hi, I'm currently 34 weeks and baby has been diagnosed with IUGR (under 3rd percentile). I'm probably necroing this post but I felt this needed an answer from another IUGR mum to be! I've had lots of movements throughout my pregnancy, which seem only to be getting stronger as the baby gets bigger. Honestly, I feel the same as you do, feeling hopeful but absolutely terrified of a negative outcome at the end of it all. I'm about to be induced in 2 weeks time so I guess we'll see the outcome very soon either way! I really hope everything is still going well in your pregnancy.
