Anyone else got their dating scan in the next few weeks?

Just looking to say hi really! My dating scan is booking for 1st April and according to LMP I’ll be exactly 12 weeks.

We decided not to have an early private scan to help with anxiety, we would’ve had an EPU one but the midwife said no due to covid as I don’t have any worrying signs like bleeding. With my first pregnancy we went for an early private scan at almost 7 weeks but the baby measured 5+4 with a HB, I had spotting on and off and sadly miscarried a few weeks later. So I felt really weird about spending £80 to go and get a scan that most likely won’t reassure me anyway and decided to just wait it out until 12 weeks.

After this miscarriage in October I had another very early loss at the end of November.

Hoping for third time lucky, I’ve had no bleeding this time and slightly stronger symptoms but who knows if it means anything. I’m nervous as the scan is on April fools day! So worried there will be nothing in there... 🙈

Just wondered if anyone else has their dating scan coming up? I’m literally counting down the days! Xxx

Bless you, I completely understand your thoughts on the early scan but how promising that you've not had any worrying symptoms so far. Keeping everything crossed for you! I've got mine on Thursday when I'll be 12+5!! I have had early scans though as I've been bleeding with a Subchoronic bleed, but I'm still so excited for my official NHS dating scan! Xx

Mines on the 29th I'll be 12+5, already seen baby at 8 and 10 weeks privately due to anxiety but looking forward to seeing some growth again 😁

Mines 8th April - I’ll be 13+5 by this point! I’ve had a few reassurance scans which have been mostly reassuring for us. I get married on 3rd April so will have a scan on Saturday when I’ll be 12 weeks as we want to tell people before then. Hopefully all is okay!

Hi OP, mines on 31st so we will likely start telling people on April fools, it made me giggle when I found out!

So sorry to hear about your MCs - not long to go now until you can see the baby and I'm sure it will be third time lucky. I have had an early scan at 9w as my anxiety after TTC for so long was sky high. It helped, but I think I'll relax more after the NHS one, feels more legitimate somehow!

Mines tomorrow when I should be 14 weeks.
I have had a fair few early private scans thought after several losses.

Most recently I had a nipt test and scan done on Harley street on Friday so I don’t feel too worried about the scan itself as the one I had on Friday was extremely detailed, more so than any nhs dating scan I’ve ever had. I just hope that my nipt results don’t take too long to come and that we get good results.

Yes I have mine in a few weeks. Not had a private one either, never have with any of them. Longest wait ever for this though as I'll be 13 weeks going by my LMP 😩. Was really hoping for the week before Easter but probably my fault as didn't book until 9 weeks!

Scan was this morning, and was perfect. Bang on 14 weeks so due date of 20th Sept.

Everything still looked great.

So now still just need to wait for the NIPT results.

@leftitlate37 thank you so much! Yeah, I literally can’t wait for next week! Then at least I can say ‘my scan is this week!’

Really pleased to say it all went well today! Measuring 1 day ahead and everything looking normal so far. Amazing so see and hear the heartbeat and see it moving around xxx
