Medical management miscarriage

Following a post I did yesterday after my 4th miscarriage was confirmed. (4th in a row in the space of 12 months)

The sac had stopped growing at 7 weeks or just there after and I had a scan yesterday at 9 weeks +4 to confirm that. I haven't bled or had cramps, I have had some light brown when I wipe. But nothing on a pad. So my body isn't recognising the loss yet. So I have chosen medical miscarriage and I start that on Monday.
All my previous miscarriages have happened naturally by themselves.

Upon reading about it, people truly have some horror stories let me say. Is it really that bad? I want to do it purely to speed up the process so I can get back to "normality" can anyone share their experience or advise on having a medically managed miscarriage? I've been told I can take it home and do it all at home and not have to stay at the hospital
