Hi there

How many weeks pregnant do you need to be to get a 3+ on the digital clear blue preg test?

Got a bfp last Sunday which was 4 weeks pregnant and it showed up as 2-3 weeks on the digital preg test.

Hoping to test again to confirm Ive progressed to 3+ on the test but want to time it right and save my money!! 🙈🙈🙈

You'd need to be 5+ weeks. However no point testing on the day of 5 weeks as that'd probs be a waste of a test as HCG doubles every 48hours so I'd recommend testing 5+1 or even 5+2 if you can hold out

Ok thank you xx

I've never got it earlier than 5 weeks exactly (and that includes my twin pregnancy)

Just make you aware, loads of women don't get 3+ until much later than 5 weeks and still have healthy pregnancies. I wound myself up with testing and line progression, I was distraught when the digital didn't seem to go past 2-3 weeks until I was about 6.5 weeks along. I'm 16 weeks pregnant now and all is well

@DauntedAF I used the weeks indicator test because I was pregnant straight after a mc and hadn't had a period to date it.

When I phoned the midwife they said the tests aren't reliable and not to go on what it said, so if you don't see 3+ then don't worry

I got a 3+ on a digital at 5+2 by lmp, I had used a regular test before that and only got digital to show dh (always puzzled by 2 lines lol).
Don't worry if you don't see a 3+ and tbh it's a waste of time doing the line progression thing as it is not an indicator of pregnancy viability. Early scans are no guarantee either.
