38 weeks back pain

Hi all,

I'm 38 weeks and this horrible back pain started on my left hand side yesterday all of a sudden in the morning. It continued and it's still with me today - I can barely walk. I saw the midwife yesterday for my routine appointment and she said the baby has totally dropped but that this doesn't mean she's on the way. She's booked me in for a telephone physio appointment on Monday but I'm really struggling to even move about at home. Has anyone else experienced this? Did it go away totally after labour? I'm really fed up and upset at not being able to go out for a walk...

Thanks in advance.

Most of my ailments including back pain did go away after labour. Well, after recovering from labour which took a while.

Is there a chance this is labour pain? You are 38 weeks. Have bag ready to go just in case.

Thanks for responding. Good to know it went away for you after recovery from labour.

Can labour start with just back pain on one side?? I mean, it is totally preventing me from doing my usual activities... I wonder. I've got my bag packed anyway!

@Correlation did your back pain resolve after labor? I’m 34 weeks and my back is hurting. Can barely stand. I’m so upset because I can’t go for walks or stay active.
