Hi ladies,

I'm wondering if you can help me, I've noticed a considerable increase in... discharge since discovering I'm pregnant.. to the point where I'm rushing off to the toilet to check I've not started bleeding. It's very damp and is a combination of watery and thick white discharge 🙈

Anyone else know if this is normal? I'll mention it to my midwife when I speak to her on the 31st but just wondered what your thoughts are?

(Had a scan today and no obvious cause for concern or free fluid)

Yeah I noticed an marked increase in this... my pregnancy was totally fine as was my labour and birth. Just had to stock up on Bodyform! ;)
Best of luck.

It's completely normal! Especially in the beginning! I found I had constant damp underwear!

It’s normal! Sometimes I feel it coming out and go to the toilet to check it’s not blood. It’s totally healthy xxx

Thanks ladies! Glad it's not just me and glad it's normal! 😂

I had this from the first few weeks of pregnancy, as did my friend. We both mentioned that it's so weird no one ever prepares you for the insane amount of discharge haha! I also used to constantly check if I was bleeding pretty much until mid second trimester when I felt calmer and more used to it!

Yeah this is normal. I seem to recall it's something to do with providing more protection for the vagina and cervix, but could be wrong...

Sunflowerx · 18/03/2021 21:20

I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and still seem to be getting it quite often! Feel it's totally normal :)

Becciboo1985 · 18/03/2021 21:55

Ha yes this is normal, why does no one warn you?! 😛😛😛

Normal... my midwife asked me if I was getting increased discharge at my booking in appointment so it must be a very common symptom.
