Silver Cross Jet Stroller for Newborn

Hi Ladies, I would like to know if anyone has used Silver Cross Jet Stroller with Newborn and experience with it ? I am currently 23 weeks pregnant and searching for pushchairs and we want something that we can travel with easily as we plan to travel a lot and is compact and can be taken on the plane. I don't want travel system as I know I won't be using bassinet and the pushchair will be too bulky to carry around. We are going to buy Car seat separately. Thank you

I would go for the babyzen yoyo over the silver cross jet. It has the bassinet attachment for when they are newborn.

I have a babyzen yoyo and it's great. There are two newborn options - the one we chose folds with the pram rather than a separate bassinet which is great for tucking the pram away in our tiny house! From what I remember of the jet when I was looking at prams it doesn't have anything parent facing/built for a newborn which I want sure about

I have the Jet and it definitely won't work for a newborn, unfortunately. The seat is very rigid and the straps are slightly loose even for 6-12 months. We used it when our daughter was 8 months and it worked fine, however a younger baby without strong head support will struggle in there. The Jet doesn't have a bassinet option I think. It's a great compact buggy but only works for older babies and small toddlers.

The YoYo is great - if you’re looking for something compact and good for travel then I’d go for that instead. We have the newborn pack where it folds with the pram and have used it for 2 children. I believe they also now have a bassinet that wasn’t around when I had DC1 but for me that defeats the point of a compact stroller so we didn’t purchase it for DC2.

The jet doesn't lie flat so not great for little babies.

The wheels are small like a lot of compact prams. Any reviews of the Jet I looked at when I was shopping for a travel pram said it coped well on paved surfaces but struggled with grass, gravel etc. If you plan on taking baby to parks and off on walks I would look at something else. Getting it on and off a plane is good, but having travelled lots with DD it's not that bad leaving a pram at the gate and picking it up after. I wouldn't base my whole pram selection on avoiding that- just get a carrier for the bits you're pram less.

Have a look at the cybex Eezy S+2. Much bigger wheels, but still a compact fold and has a bassinet option for when baby is tiny. We have the old version and I rate it.

Baby Jogger City Mini. Folds up small with one hand and lies flat for newborns. I believe you can get a cocoon for it too. It will see your DC ftom birth to 3ish.
