Bleeding at 5+4

Hi Everyone,

I was due my period on the 10th of March 2021 and it was late. I got a faint positive two days ago and took a clear blue which said 1-2 weeks since conception that I was around 3-4 weeks which matches with my ovulation and the time me and my o/h done the deed. However, my doctor is dating me 5+4 from my last period even though I know I am not. Anyway, I had a miscarriage in May 2020 and I started to bleed light brown bleeding lastnight, it has progressed to dark brown to red but not bright red. I’m so incredibly worried, I’ve never experienced implantation and have read many different stories online. I have a scan at EPU on Tuesday but just stuck in limbo until then.

Does anyone have any advice or successful stories?

Your doctor and everyone else will date you from your LMP as that's when the pregnancy is always dated roughly as they can't be sure when you ovulated. Obviously some people test for ovulation so know, but 2 weeks is still added on to that date.
The date you dtd also doesn't mean that's the date you conceived.

Sorry you're getting some bleeding. I've had bleeding with all my pregnancies but it's always been brown and pink spotting.
Lots of people have positive stories after bleeding though.

Thanks for commenting! I’m just really really nervous I can’t even cope with the anxiety right now. My bleeding has seemed to taper off into a light pink now.

Sorry to jump onto your post but how did you get on at your early scan? I'm 6+4 today and have some bright red bleeding. No enough to need a pad but when I'm wiping and I feel aware of it. I've got an early scan on Tuesday now but it will be such a hard long wait. Hope your scan went well x

I don’t think I’m 5+4 they were dating me that from LMP. I think I’m almost hitting 5 weeks now from conception as I can pin point it almost exactly due to tracking ovulation and my partners in the military so he’s hardly home so I know when it happened.

I’ve now been told I have a pregnancy of unknown location after two ultrasounds unable to locate pregnancy. Hcg level was 81 then 48 hours later was 91 not a double rise then 48 hours after it was 138 and had risen by 48%. They’ve offered me methotrexate to dissolve the pregnancy but I’m asking to be monitored at this point as I genuinely believe it’s too early
