I am with my second and compared to my first pregnancy in 2016 when I was working and has several pregnant friends I feel really bloody lonely! I don't hardly know anyone else who's pregnant around the same time as me.
Anyone on here?

Hey I’m around the same mark as you, how are you feeling and congratulations ❤️

I'm around the same Mark as you and also had my first on 2016, I know what you mean. I'm also eager and anxious for the daring scan!!

CaptainSpirit · 18/03/2021 14:02

Congratulations all! 11+6 weeks here. This will be my third (🤞🏻), I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old already. Smile

Aww lovely! Thank you and congratulations to you too! I've had really bad all day nausea, I've had a couple of good days but today is a not so good day! How about you? xx

Ahh what are the chances! My first was born January 2017 but obviously the majority of being pregnant was in 2016! How are you feeling? And how are you finding pregnancy with a 4-5 year old? xx

@primrosehope my nausea is debilitating, I was hoping by now I’d feel some sort of improvement but still feel shit on a daily basis. I’ve been surviving off irn bru and chocolate!

primrosehope · 18/03/2021 14:52

@FruitLoopzz same! Apart from it's been lucozade for me! Have you actually vomited or just had nausea?

I'm 11+5 with my first baby and I'm still absolutely terrified to tell anyone in case I jinx it 😂 I feel so silly for being so scared, but so grateful after years of IVF and a Subchoronic bleed at 6 weeks xx

FruitLoopzz · 18/03/2021 15:20

@primrosehope - I haven’t physically vomited but have ran to the sink a few times and dry wretched. With nausea there’s no relief, when you’re actually sick you get relief but with nausea it’s a disgusting lingering feeling of sickness all day every day that ruins every moment of your life. I’m so miserable, also have this excess saliva issue that just makes the nausea worse.

Enough about me ha ha, when is your scan x

primrosehope · 18/03/2021 15:40

@FruitLoopzz that's exactly how I've been feeling. It's so lonely and depressing isn't it and you can't focus on anything else. My scan is the 29th but I've already paid for one! How about you? x

@primrosehope aw such a lovely wee scan pic, I had mines on Monday. I also had one at 8 weeks to determine if the pregnancy was viable as I had a couple of miscarriages last year. They are so reassuring aren’t they x

Aozora13 · 18/03/2021 17:44

Me! I’m 12 weeks tomorrow. And finally (dare I say it) starting to feel more like a human being and less like a sea-sick toadstool. Excited for my scan next week, and less anxious as had a sneak preview last week at the EPU following some spotting.

I also had my first DC in 2016 but I snuck in another one in 2018 so this will (hopefully) be DC3 and final!

primrosehope · 18/03/2021 18:11

@Aozora13 seasick toadstool, that's a great explanation! It's brutal isn't it Sad did you just have nausea or did you vomit too? x

I am too, my first will be 3 in summer. I have HG again although seem to be turning a corner with it now coming to the end of the first trimester, eating much better and actually left the house today briefly without vomiting which was amazing. I still haven't even had a letter about my dating scan though and I've had brown bleeding through most of the pregnancy so far so feeling very anxious about it. The maternity support worker told me to call the imaging department on Monday if I still hadn't had it as I'm 12 weeks next week.

Sorry people suffering with nausea I know how grim it is Envy not envy! We haven't really told anyone yet either except my immediate family and my boss, both being unavoidable given how unwell I am. Will tell everyone else once we've had scan and the screening test results all being well.

Aozora13 · 19/03/2021 11:01

@primrosehope it’s been all-day nausea for me this time around. W DD2 I was sick every morning from weeks 8-14 which was grim but actually much more manageable than feeling violently queasy all day long. With all 3 of my pregnancies I’ve also had a ridiculously sensitive gag reflex with comedy retching at eg the fridge, the sink, raw meat... the worst is cigarette smoke and have retched in the face of people smoking outside. Mortifying!

@MeadowHay sorry about the HG must be awful. Have you had medication and did it help? I haven’t told anyone except DH and my boss as had to have time off for the scan when bleeding. Previously I told close friends and family sooner but only when I saw them. Couldn’t face lying about why I wasn’t drinking and had developed a greenish tinge! Will start telling people after my scan though.

I had mine in Feb 2016, so was mostly pregnant in 2015 but the heavy lifting of the huge baby belly was in 2016 Grin

It's not been too bad, but I am getting tired earlier than normal so the sooner I can get him in to bed the better! Ha xx
