What did implantation feel like for you?

Ok so I say every month I will be super casual, but I don't know who I'm kidding.

I'm 6dpo today. I've been crampy for a few days now. I went for a walk with my 11 year old earlier and I was having cramps in my lower back, then all of a sudden I got this pulling pain in my uterus that stopped me in my tracks. The cramps were then going down my legs for the rest of the walk.

I went to the bathroom when I got home and I got the smallest pink specks and one pink streak in my cm.

I am obviously overthinking but it wasn't like anything I'd felt before so I'm just wondering,

If you felt your implantation, what did it feel like? And did you have any other signs?

Ooo this sounds promising! Implantation can be quite painful as the egg literally burrows in the uterus. With my daughter I had red spotting which I thought was to do with thrush or my period unexpectedly but I was pregnant.. I'm 6/7dpo too! Had niggles today and cramps but could be wind haha. Yours sounds more promising! Fingers crossed for you!

otterbaby · 17/03/2021 20:18

I could feel cramping that sort of felt like twisting and popping. Like you said, it wasn't like anything that I'd felt before so I was pretty convinced I was pregnant a week or two before I could even test.

No other symptoms. And my test was negative every single day until the actual day I was expecting my period. And now she's 5 months!

Good luck! X

I had mild cramping on the monday and then a weird pain in my ovary on the Thursday. I cant describe it but it was a deep, muscular type ache that wouldn’t go when I tried to stretch out etc. Had my BFP on the Sunday. Let us know how you get on xxx

Spillanelle · 17/03/2021 20:29

Sounds promising!

With my first I had really intense stomach cramps and back ache for about 3 days. It was so bad I spent a lot of that time lying in bed with multiple hot water bottles.

With my second I had a bit of a twinge really low down in my pelvis area that lasted a couple of hours, but not massively noticeable.

Quornflakegirl · 17/03/2021 20:31

I remember mine clearly, I was reading in bed and had a brief, sharp stabbing pain which was very noticeable. A few minutes later the exact same sharp pain, I hoped there'd be no more as it really hurt.

BFP soon after and later on dating scan showed twins. Bizarre but true!

PlanDeRaccordement · 17/03/2021 20:31

I felt nothing during implantation.

TheBigGreenDinosaur · 17/03/2021 20:34

I don’t know if it was implantation or not but I do remember getting a short, sharp pain slightly to my left and it was enough to make me gasp, then went away and never came back! That was at 9dpo, and by about 11dpo I started with mild cramps which I now know will have been early pregnancy related Smile with my first I don’t recall any implantation symptoms.

Fifi1086 · 17/03/2021 20:43

Thanks so much everyone! My last pregnancy was 12 years ago when I was 21 and far from planned so I wasn't looking out for symptoms. I am trying not to symptom spot this month because it's so disappointing when it's negative but the pain today and then the light red specks is not something I'd usually get at 6dpo!

Brief sharp stabbing pain.

yahyahs22 · 17/03/2021 20:51

Cramps cramps and more cramps with some blood too. I had no idea and thought it was a period..

Luckyelephant1 · 17/03/2021 20:52

Absolutely nothing! Took a casual test a couple of days early just for the sake of it and almost fell over at the positive result.

Samanabanana · 17/03/2021 20:53

I didn't get any symtoms with my current pregnancy until after my period was due. Had light implantation bleeding followed by the worst period style cramps and much heavier bleeding and assumed it would turn into a chemical. Then had light spotting until 7w5d. Early scans have shown everything is where it should be but ut was really concerning at the time! My last pregnancy that stuck was nothing like it either. I had no real symptoms other than light implantation bleeding around 11dpo. Fingers crossed for you!

Humpty11 · 17/03/2021 21:04

This is exactly how I’d describe the pain that I had around what would have been implantation the month that I fell pregnant this time.
With my son I had absolutely no symptoms of implantation, just some implantation bleeding at 9dpo.
Fingers crossed for you!

Fifi1086 · 17/03/2021 21:22

I'm trying to not get my hopes up. I just have a "feeling" this month but I'm only 6dpo so I'm probably imagining it! I'm feeling very lightheaded now tonight. I've never made it past 9dpo before getting af before, but that was ovulating on day 20. I took soy isoflavones this month and ovulated day 15 so I really hope it's my month 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I honestly felt nothing. I just had my usual PMT and kept thinking my period was coming

Mrsbg1990 · 17/03/2021 23:29

I had a MMC in November. I’m now ttc and 9 DPO. I’ve been having dull aches in my ovary but like you, I don’t want to get my hopes up. I’ve spent a fortune on pregnancy tests testing multiple times a day and keep getting a BFN. I’ve told myself I’m going to hold off from testing until I’m around 12/13 DPO to avoid disappointment at every BFN results. We’ll see if that goes to plan. Good luck and please keep us updated with your symptoms and results x

Allthingspeaches · 17/03/2021 23:40

With my first I was woken up out of sleep with an intense, sharp, stabby pain. I was moaning out loud it was so painful (not that DH heard a thing🙄). That happened 3 nights in a row.

With my second and current pregnancy I had a sharp stabby pain that made me stop in my tracks and gasp. Both times that was my cue to test and both times were positive.

TalulaBella · 18/03/2021 08:41

1st pregancy absolutely nothing, had 0 symptoms and didn't find out until 12 weeks (was on the no break pill, so hadn't even had a period in like a year?) and this pregnancy, though had started period, 1st day normal looking period, day 2 hardly anything there and very "gooey" and day 3 only on tissue. Thought was a bit odd. But here we are, just over 7 weeks and heart beating away (early scan yesterday), so guess just a heavy-ish IB?

FeistySheep · 18/03/2021 10:29

Both pregnancies, absolutely no symptoms of any kind until 5/6 weeks.

Rose2108 · 18/03/2021 10:33

I had a sharp, short twinge/pain at 7DPO, with a little bit of spotting. I think it is different for everyone, but I definitely felt it!

notalwaysalondoner · 18/03/2021 10:34

I never had any twinges (3 pregnancies) but 2 out of the 3 I had some red/pink streaks in my CM around 8-10 dpo.

mumofthree1993 · 18/03/2021 14:24

My implantation was quite a severe pain in my back.. I was crying in bed with severe back pains thinking I was coming on my period. This was a few years ago , I think remember it now as it was horrific.. it happened 2 days before my period was due.

Willowfalls · 19/03/2021 19:01

Let us know how you get on OP! X

Hi
I was wondering if anybody could help.
I've just had a conversation with the GP at my doctors after I have had a few bleeds.

Was due to start period 27th October
28th October - Light period. Normal first day, then came off after one day.
30th October - Spotting. Light pink.
3rd November - Gush of blood. Bright red. Enough to form puddle in pants and soak through underwear.

6th November - Positive test
9th November - Spotting @ first. Light pink.
Sudden gush of blood. Bright red.
Light pink when wiping. Stopped for an hour.
Bright red when wiping @ night time.
10th November. Still red when wiping. Little bit of stringy clots. Only in morning.
11th November - no blood.

Now, my last period started on the first of October, so I conceived around the 14th/15th I believe.

The doctor is advising me that the two gushes of blood that I had on Tuesday just gone and Wednesday the week before were just implantation - however it was bright red blood, and when I've worked out my dates it's saying I would of had implantation between October 21st and October 28th - which actually I did have some spotting around this time. The Doctor is also saying that really he shouldn't refer me for a scan until I'm eight weeks. I'm due to be six weeks tomorrow. Any thoughts on any of this? Thanks :(
