Hello. Little bit of a long one. I’m so confused and wondered if anyone had been in this situation. I took a home pregnancy test that showed up very faint positive. I was getting pain so went to hospital. They done bloods and examinations. Told me my HCG was 8. Which is very low but early pregnancy. They took my bloods for hcg again just under 48hrs later and only went up to 10. They didn’t really offer me any information except either way I’m pregnant but I’m either miscarrying or the hcg isn’t going up as fast as should be and to test as home in a week and give them a call if it’s positive! Has anyone ever been in a situation like this, I’ve got 1 child and two miscarriages. just so worried. Thank you.

I had a miscarriage in December and I found out 10 days ago that I'm pregnant again, im currently approximately 6 weeks.
last week I had some awful cramps, I rung nhs 111 and they sent me to a&e who sent me to gynecology. they did hcg blood tests and then repeated them 48 hours later. they were 7000 on the Monday and then 11,400 on the Wednesday. they then referred me for a scan, which was ok, very small but there, and they have booked me in for another one this Friday. I'm scared silly, it's absolutely terrifying as feel really unsupported by the hospital, they've not told me why they are doing any of these tests. my friend from work went up with cramps, got told it was normal and then got sent home, however I was in the same situation, even down to being the same amount of time along, and ive had to go through all these tests. its like the hospital are expecting something to be wrong but not telling me. I totally understand how you're feeling, and I have literally no advice for you but just know you're not alone in this situation as I'm exactly the same xxx

Thank you for the reply! @vixey I’m pretty sure she basically said to me that im pregnant but very very early and anything can happen so retest in a week. For some reason she thought I was bleeding and said it will subside and I said no im not bleeding I’m actually having pregnancy symptoms and she ended the call by saying “sorry”. I have no idea what’s going on and I just have to wait.

I had almost exactly the same. a nurse was taking my blood and said she's so sorry but I'm only 30 so can try again 😭 I started crying, she asked me why and when explained how it sounded she said well its my job to prepare you for the worst. but I feel like her words left me more in the dark than anything really. I've since had a scan and found she was completely in the wrong but it stung ya know. try and stay positive and I swear if you're really worried or aren't happy with their advice then go back. they have to do something if you're there in front of them. xxx

@vixey that’s horrible she said that. I think I’m going to wait the week, hopefully all will be ok and I can go back and get bloods. I wish you all the best of luck!

I just found out I’m pregnant 6 weeks after miscarriage. The hospital had said to wait for one period. It took so long the first time I never thought it would happen so quickly. So I’m worried it’s going to happen again. Has anyone had similar experience?
