Pelvic Floor Exercises - help!

Hello ladies,
I am currently week 26 in my first pregnancy.
I’ll be honest, I’ve been pretty rubbish with exercising during the last 6 months. A combination of being completely exhausted all the time and feeling generally unmotivated/little bit depressed during lockdown.
As my due date is getting closer and closer, I’m kicking myself that I didn’t start exercising earlier as I’m feeling so unfit. What I’m particularly worried about is my pelvic floor especially as I keep reading about prolapses and vaginal tearing and incontinence Confused

Personally I find pelvic floor exercises really hard. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations of gadgets or tools to use? Any online video recommendations? Any advice than can be shared would be really really appreciated. Thank you!

I've been seeing a physio throughout my pregnancy as I've had sore hips. She recommended an NHS app for pelvic floor exercises that I've found really helpful.

It is called the Squeezy App, it pops up with reminders each day to do your pelvic floor exercises. It has a visualisation that you watch each time for the squeezing and releasing and I find it so helpful. I think it was about £2.50.

Squats are great for the pelvic floor, brace your core and pull your pelvic floor up while doing them (like when holding in a wee you are bursting for). Do bodyweight ones, adding in some resistance increases benefits if you can manage it. Just be careful as ligaments loosening can cause problems, doing them over the sofa or a chair can be useful.

Thank you both - so so helpful! I’m going to download that app right now
