Epidural or water birth? FTM

Currently discussing with my MW my birth plan.

I am torn between pain relief and waterbirth.

Based on your experience which is preferable?
Being in pain but being in water or being pain free on dry land?

I have had both. Epidural first time, water second.

Much prefer water. Much more in control. I had gas and air with it too.

Keep options open as you never know what will happen.
