Holding pee

Hi I’m just worried as Iv read all sorts
So
I constantly hold my pee through the night because I just don’t wake up to go when I’m in a deep sleep but Iv read that it’s bad for you?
I get pain when I lay on one side that’s how I know I need a wee then when I have the wee it hurts after but just lasts an hour or so
Is this okay or am I harming my baby?
Through the day I per whenever I get the urge it’s just at night!
Going out my mind!

I don’t see how this is bad? I would count “holding in pee” as being desperate to go but not going.
If you aren’t waking up then you don’t need to go.

If it hurts after peeing it could be a uti though, do you think you have those symptoms? These can be very serious during pregnancy.

Why would it harm the baby? 🤦🏻‍♀️

But if it hurts to pee then you need to get checked for a uti

No I test my urine at work no uti I think it’s more my bladder gets so full that it spasms if you get me, sometimes I’ll wake up but go back to sleep then when I wake up my stomach/bladder aches then when I go for a wee the ache is still there but goes eventually, I’m 17 weeks so I think it could be to do with my bladder stretching things out when it’s full and causing aches

The main thing holding in your pee will cause is a UTI.

It's perfectly normal to not pee at night, so I'm sure you're fine.
I tend to pee frequently during the day because baby is squashing my bladder. At night I reckon the baby weight moves a bit and my bladder can get fuller without me feeling the need to pee, because I always pee loads in the morning without feeling a desperate need. I can never store that much in the daytime!

Okay Thankyou! I’ll just put the ache down to general pregnancy aches and pains!
It goes when I sit down aches when I stand!

You should probably empty your bladder as a general rule when your body tells you to and not hold it. For your sake not the baby’s.
I’m in the third trimester now and the baby is constantly standing on my bladder which is no fun and would be very messy if I was keeping it full and not visiting the toilet. As it is I’m going about every hour currently 24-7!
