What's going in inside me???

Hello everyone,

I really need some help. I'm currently on my period and I've got all the symptoms of pregnancy. My first few days of period is usually heavy enough to warrant pad changes every 3 hours but this time round I didn't have to. Also I had severe cramps and even now I've got pinching pains in my lower abdomen (mainly left, sometimes right)

At first I thought my symptoms were just part of regular period stuff but they haven't left, they only got worse. My period usually lasts 8-10 days but this time round I've only bled around 4-5 days and it's already over.

I didn't bleed when I was pregnant with my ds so this is worrying me.

I've taken a test and a very faint -ive line showed up so I'm flummoxed!

Any advice?

Personally, I would call the early pregnancy unit and tell them everything, and see what their advice is. You could try going through your GP but that can just add extra steps that become frustrating.

Negative lines dones show so I'm guessing it would be a faint positive. You may well be pregnant.
If the pains are bad enough to worry you as pp said ring epu.
If you are comfortable enough to wait, test on your first morning wee for the next two days and see if the line gets darker

I'll take another test in a few days and proceed from there. Will update soon hopefully.

I thought I had started my period this pregnancy, but last way less and then the camping never went away, started getting bad headaches etc and now I am 7 weeks pregnant.

How you getting on?

Well I spoke to my GP and was advised that its probably not pregnancy and that I should take some lanzoprazol to get rid of the acidity problems even though I explained EVERYTHING IN MINUTE DETAIL. I'm just going to take another test on Sunday if the symptoms don't go away by then.

By breasts are swollen and heavier and I'm still getting these pinching pains.

Do you mean a faint positive or faint negative? I don't understand what you mean by a faint negative - was the control line faint?

I used a clear blue rapid response test with the plus sign as pregnancy and the minus sign as negative.

Last week I tested and got a faint minus sign. Today I took another and I got the minus sign again and this time it was clear. So I'm definitely not pregnant.

Will go see GP if symptoms don't go away. It might be something else that needs treatment (?)

It sounds like normal period problems. If the test says negative now it will also be negative in a few days
