am I being insane are there no real cotton high waisted knickers anywhere in the UK? it's all under bump stuff which is actually standard-sized or lycra. I am shocked that M&S don't have anything. my bump popped and I have gone a size up but don't think this is a solution. .. help

All cotton ones won't be much help with the jelly belly, the best ones I got (3 years ago) were 80% cotton and lycra, were from a local store selling a bit of anything really , found them in the granny section. But I do remember buying all cotton high waist from m&s last year I think it was a multi pack

onedaysoonish · 14/03/2021 14:32

Look at John Lewis - they have "full briefs"🤣 which are very high waisted - I got loads for immediately after my c section - didn't want anything rubbing on the scar and they are really great.

ivfbeenbusy · 14/03/2021 14:34

Sainsbury full briefs - I wore these whilst pregnant with twins and still wearing them now 🤣

BangingOn · 14/03/2021 14:36

Definitely supermarket full briefs, I used them after DS was born too and they were great.

BlackBrowedAlbatross · 14/03/2021 14:41

It was a few years ago now but I wore the big pants from Noppies while pregnant (and for quite a while afterwards, they were so comfy 😳)

Supermarket or Amazon's Iris and Lilly high waisted pants - wore these in late pregnancy and still wear them now 9 months down the line Grin

KingdomScrolls · 14/03/2021 14:45

I wore Primark seamless short style pants in a bigger size they're really stretchy and come up high, they might look like they don't on the hanger but trust me they do. I still wear them in my normal size when I'm feeling bloated

DwangelaForever · 14/03/2021 14:45

This is where primark is sorely missed 👀

Scarling · 14/03/2021 14:49

Seconding (thirding?) supermarket full briefs. I was a 14 pre pregnancy and sized up to a 20 for the last few months. It was a sad day when I binned them.. when DS2 was 9 months old

Sansaplans · 14/03/2021 14:50

Any supermarket ones, I had some from TU (the black high waisted ones) and so comfy!

Parkandride · 14/03/2021 14:51

I found this! There's a few on amazon that are specific maternity with faces on, but if you want plain you need the none maternity full briefs in a few sizes up. I still wear my normal ones too just under the bump

Toria33 · 14/03/2021 15:08

@TotorosNeighbou a Lyra mix is fine, did you just by sizes and sizes up from M&S?
@onedaysoonish i will check out John lewis thanks

9 always buy a bunch of packs of asda black full briefs in a bigger size

Wanderlust20 · 14/03/2021 18:47

What are maternity knickers, sorry stupid question! Is this comfy pants for after labour?

dotdashdashdash · 14/03/2021 19:47

Do you want maternity knickers or are these for post-partum?

Maternity knickers are different from the big pants people wear post partum. H&m do maternity knickers as do Asda.

dotdashdashdash · 14/03/2021 19:50

Wanderlust20

Maternity knickers (also known as pregnancy knickers) are underwear for during pregnancy. They go over your bump and have an extra panel to accommodate your growing bump.

Post-partum knickers are just big knickers to wear after birth to hold in the jelly-belly and the mattress sized pad.

Toria33 · 14/03/2021 20:41

@Wanderlust20 exactly! I don't like under bump stuff or stuff over 10% lycra/elastane and I was shocked that M&S don't have any which is my go too. unless I just keep buying bigger sizes 0.o

Ah OK, excuse my ignorance ladies, this is my first baby! Smile Makes sense to get over bump comfy pants, didn't know this was a thing! Good luck in your quest!

LMT2022 · 29/10/2021 18:23

Just for anyone looking. I bought seamless full briefs from matalan and they’re so comfy. I’m 24weeks and usually a size 12. I went for the L (16-18 I think)
