Hi, just wanted to leave a message here to say that, yes, it is absolutely possible to get pregnant from BDing six days before ovulation! I was furiously googling the topic and couldn't find much information, but lo and behold, I got my BFP. BD'd on Monday, then got a static smiley on the ovulation test on Saturday... Ergo probably ovulated on the Sunday. So thought I would put it out there for anyone asking the same question as I was

It's also possible that your static smiley was actually picking up your pregnancy and you ovulated around the time you BD'd as ovulation tests can't tell the difference between LH and HCG as on a molecular level they are very similar

Hmm, was using the Clearblue ovulation tests from CD 7. Got empty circles for 8 days (including day of BD), then three days of flashing smiley, before the static appeared. Was also MASSIVELY horny on the static days so pretty sure that was ovulation. Can't be pregnant from the month before as my partner is in the army so was away.
