Off for my membrane sweep at 37+2wks on Wednesday morning for dc2. Never had a sweep with dc1 so not sure what to expect.
Please send me positive stories and experiences, I’d love to read them. Also Amazon is delivering my clary sage today which I will start using from Tuesday (hopefully that might play a part 🤷🏼‍♀️)

I haven't got positive stories as I've had 5 sweeps with my pregnancies and none have worked. So I'd say don't get your hopes up too much.

However I will say that they don't hurt at all. It's a tad uncomfortable but that's it.

Had them with all 3 of mine. First I went into labour the following day at 39+4 second at 40 contractions started half hour later and no3, at 38+2 waters went an hour after. Good luck

I had one and had the baby the next day, it definitely got things going. But I was 40 + 12 so I was probably quite close already. Is there a reason you’re having one so early?

Oops sorry I misread your op and thought you said 37 + 2

I think it's only something like 20% that work when over 40 weeks

Having early as I’ve had reduced movements and high glucose levels and baby’s growth has started to slow down. They did say if I’m favourable they’ll induce if the sweep doesn’t do anything which it looks like it probably won’t. Trying to stay positive though

I’ve got my second this morning at 37+2! High risk and if it doesn’t work will be induced tomorrow. First was v painful but quick and it did start some contractions which then went away.
This early I’m thinking of it less as a means of starting labour and more as a way of getting my body ready so it’s more receptive to induction and so induction is hopefully more successful, quicker and less painful.
