6w transvaginal USS

Hey all! I got my bfp nearly 2 weeks ago 🥰 I was 4 weeks when I found out so super early and due to working in a neonatal unit which makes me twitchy about pregnancy for obvious reasons, we've decided to get a 6w TVS to check everything is alright and a wee picture of the baby (though I know that's not important!). 8 weeks was far too long to wait for an anxious mummy to be 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm just wondering if anyone managed to catch a wee glimpse of the baby's heart beating on their 6/7w scans - I know it's possible but not probable but I'm ever hopeful lol! I'll be 6+4 at my scan 🥰👶🏻

@rachhendy firstly congratulations ☺️. I had my first scan yesterday and I was also 6+4. All was well and I got to see the little flutter of the heartbeat ☺️ xx

Aw congrats yourself!! Thanks so much! I'm excited, hopefully we get the same 👀🤞🏻 not much to see in scan pics at this stage but I bet it was lovely just getting is all confirmed outside of a pregnancy wee test lol 🥰👶🏻

@rachhendy yes wasn't much to look at photo wise haha but was so nice to see the heartbeat, I did prepare myself just incase we didn't as it's still very early! This is my 4th pregnancy after 3 losses so I was super anxious, hence the early scan. I will probably book a private scan in the next few weeks just so I can see my little blob again 😂. When have you got your scan? X

@lockdownbabyx aww no wonder you were anxious but that's so nice you saw wee bumps heartbeat! It's on Wednesday evening 🥰 I'm not expecting much, it's the reassurance I'm after tbh but obviously a wee pic is nice. This is my first ever pregnancy, both of our first baby, no reason to expect anything negative but working in NICU I think I just see far too much negativity associated with babies and pregnancy and it makes me super anxious hence why I booked my scan 🤦🏻‍♀️ need a lil positivity and reassurance that I'm just being paranoid 😂🙄xx

@rachhendy oh I really hope you get to see a heartbeat, it's so reassuring. I think that's the problem, being too aware of what can go wrong in a pregnancy is always going to make anyone anxious isn't it?. Please keep us update, would love to see if your scan looks anything like mine haha xx

@lockdownbabyx yeah that would be amazing! I will do lol! Also...are you bloating like mad to the extent you almost look like you've got a wee tiny bump when you relax ...?👀😂 I normally have a really flat stomach and while I'm only 6 weeks i have to really suck in to hold my tummy in it's normal flat state...if I relax at all I definitely have a wee bloat bump 😂👶🏻🤰🏻 xx

@rachhendy I was SO bloated all day, everyday during 4-5 weeks, it was awful and uncomfortable lol. It's eased a lot now though, mainly just at night time after I eat a big meal. My main symptoms now are I'm hungry all the time, but don't really enjoy any food 🤦🏻‍♀️ plus my boobs are SO sore and heavy. I've had mild nausea on and off but nothing crazy...yet lol xx

@lockdownbabyx I wasn't bloated really until the last few days and I was just like aw pregnancy hormones - I read that happens lol never sore though just felt podgy 😂 but today it's different to normal bloating - as someone that bloats frequently due to gluten intolerance I know my bloat lol and this is so different but I also know that it's very rare to develop a bump so early !🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows haha my boobs are also killing me and I've outgrown my bloody bras for work already 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don't have much appetite at all but I am super boaky til about lunch time every day - I have a 'boak bag' in my car for driving to work since I wretch the entire way there 😂🙄 the joys lol! I've attached a pic of my 'bump/bloat' you can see what you think 😂😂cx

We had one at what I thought would be 6+3 weeks and turned out I was only 5+5 but we were able to see the heartbeat fluttering clearly! We went due to a previous MC so I just wanted to check it was viable before getting hopes up etc! I'm now 29+5 weeks🥰

I had a scan at the EPU at 5+4 due to recurrent miscarriages and wasn’t expecting to see much, but we got to see a beautiful flicker of baby’s heartbeat!

Since had several private scans and am currently 12+5 now 🥰

@rachhendy haha yes u can see a little bump, definitely more bloating at this stage though as baby is the side of a pin head 😂 xx

Hahaha definitely 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ however it's new in the last few days so definitely a pregnancy thing and not just a regular putting on lockdown weight thing 😂😂🤰🏻

Ahh amazing! I'm super excited now...I think I've calculated very accurately so I'll be 6+4 at my scan so hoping there will be something to see more than just a black hole 😂👀🤞🏻 that's great you got to see your wee ones heart beat 🥰 congratulations!

Just wanted to update on my scan from Wednesday. Baby is happy and healthy, I estimated I was 6+4 at my scan, baby measured 5+6 but had a great heartbeat visible. Though baby measuring slightly early my estimated due date is now 3rd November which actually put me at 6+6 at my scan (slightly confused but I think that's all normal since is so early and inaccurate at that stage lol). I'm sure we'll see a big difference at our 12w scan in just over 5 weeks 🥰👶🏻
