Hi all, apologies if the pic is TMI but has anyone had constant spotting in early/first trimester pregnancy?

Since last Thursday I've had brown/pink spotting when I wipe only and it stopped for about a day on Monday before then starting again and continuing. Its always brown or pink and sometimes may be more or less when I wipe. Its never been heavy and I dont have any cramps or pains that seem abnormal.

I had an early pregnancy scan last Friday which showed the gestational sac and yolk sac in the correct place etc but no embryo as of yet (estimated im about 4-5 weeks). I have another scan in Friday next week to ensure the embryo is there and happy but I wondered if this is or has happened to anyone else?

It may be worth mentioning that I'm also on antibiotics for a UTI aswell.

I worry about miscarriage as I've had one previously and im so so anxious over it 😔 thanks x

I've had brown/pink spotting between weeks 4 and 7 with all 5 of my pregnancies.
Had a scan for 2 of them and doctor confirmed it's leftover blood from implantation along with foetus burying deeper.

Spotting is actually listed as a symptom for 6 weeks

Thank you so much for sharing.

I think I'm anxious over my previous miscarriage as that was my only experience with pregnancy so I'm now aware of every little change. I still have all of my symptoms, I dont have morning sickness yet but tender boobs, frequent urination, bloating and hunger are all there and raging on 🤣.

I just felt a bit panicked seeing it and because its not stopped im of course leaning towards the worse happening. Fingers crossed for my next scan 😊 x

Completely understand, my first 2 pregnancies were miscarriages. Please don't worry if your symptoms disappear either. It doesn't mean anything at all!

I had exactly this and then lost quite a lot of red blood. Went for a scan at the EPU and all was well. DD is now a healthy 7 year old.

Fingers crossed you’ll be the same.

Thank you.
I really hope so. The midwife I saw last week at EPU said its quite common and as long as it doesn't get heavier and remains as just when I wipe then she isn't panicking about it. I think I'm just massively anxious as my only experience with pregnancy ended quite traumatically and quickly so I'm just so wary of every little thing that I feel or see. Im probably massively paranoid but I just had horrid flashbacks of what happened when I saw the spotting and it sent my brain into overdrive. Im just trying to stay relaxed and enjoy the changes I am noticing aside from the spotting :) x
