2nd labour after induction

Hi all, just after a bit of advice. My first labour ended with syntocin to help labour progress, I know they say 2nd labours are a bit quicker than the 1st. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with timings having been induced once then going on to have more babies.
Thanks. X

Induced twice, first was awful. 5 days start to finish (including pessaries) wasn’t allowed to eat, sick, epidural, nearly ended in emcs blah blah blah.

Second induction, I was terrified by based on my previous experience. I cried so much because I’d don’t want another induction.
It was fantastic. I was 2/3cm dialated before they started me off in the drip. Took around 4 hours from drip to baby. Very intense and very very painful with just gas and air but a totally different experience and very positive.

Oh sorry just realised you’re talking about non induced second births.

Induced with first and natural with second, it was amazing. Completely different to being induced. Pain intensity was a lot less and a much nicer experience.

@pokerface12 was it a much quicker labour?

@cavz my first labour was quick as I was induced from the onset. Once the drip was in and going maybe 6hrs.

Second I had mild pains for 6hrs then proper labour pains 2hrs.

So both quick to be fair

First labour was induced, not particularly long (24 hours but an easy 24 hours), all fine (epidural, entirely pain free). Felt flat afterwards.
Second labour, very very quick (about 3 hours or so), almost delivered in assessment unit, excrutiatingly unbelievably painful, intense, amazing. Rode high off the buzz from it for months, best day of my life!
