Contractions followed by lower back pain

Hi guys,

I’m 40+2 and I think I lost my mucus plug tonight, it’s the first sign of labour that I’ve had.
But not even ten minutes later I started having irregular but close together contractions.
I was just wondering if anyone else had contractions that started at the front of the bottom of the uterus and then like wrapped around to the lower back like a band rather than radiating up the uterus?

How exciting, I only had back pain during early labour too!

All mine was in my cervix, like severe period pain to start. It was only when I had gas and air and that numbed it I could feel the radiating upward pain. Good luck op! Exciting times ahead x

All mine was in my back (but baby was back to back, but doesn't mean yours is too)

Good luck!

My dd was facing back to back and laying transverse, causing back labour for me too. Doesn't mean this is the case for you.
