Hi, I'm just wondering has anyone ever had the wrong sex identified at a gender scan by babyvision?

I did by the NHS scan. I guess it can be the same anywhere

If babys position is not favourable any sonographer can get it incorrect. If you get a clear view between the legs then it's very unlikely they will get it wrong.
We've had 5 kids all correctly determined sex by scans and current is a girl. We could see so clearly with this one even hubby could tell and he's been rubbish in the past lol.

MMSN92 · 11/03/2021 18:01

She did try showing on the screen that she could see 3 lines and was 99% sure that she's a girl but on my 4d pic it looks like there is something in-between her legs and was definitely not the cord as that was over her shoulder. She did say all 4d scans on there bits look the same but I did wonder what it was and 4d scans iv googled with the same have came up as boys 🙈 obviously I'm no expert but iv heard of loads of people having theres wrong so wondered if anyone had had one wrong with babyvision. Thank you both 🙂

Anything can image as 3 lines in a scan.. so this is not definitive proof that baby is a girl.

MMSN92 · 13/03/2021 11:27

Thank you, I don't know how to upload a pic to see what others think so I guess il just wait for my 20 week scan and see if they confirm what babyvision said. Thanks again 🙂

Paper clip to upload pics, unless you’ve just opened an account then you won’t be able to for a few days.

MamaJ8 · 13/03/2021 11:57

If you have just joined your not allowed to post pictures straight away. I think it's 2 days..

After that, you should see a picture icon to add a picture to your message.. x

MMSN92 · 13/03/2021 12:45

Yea there's no paperclip option at the moment so il try again tmoz thank you 😊

I'm still not able to add a picture 😕 does anyone know if I can do it on the app or if it needs to be done on the website?

You can do it on the app although for some reason it never seems to add for me so may be better trying the website

The first pic is my scan which i was told a girl and the 2nd pic is one I found on the Internet that I think looks like my scan. Does anyone see them similar or am I imagining things 😂

I find it difficult in the early weeks to see the difference in 4d between boys and girls... I think girls look like they protrude in 4d as I read that 4d shows more lumps and bumps... more 'fleshy'

MMSN92 · 15/03/2021 21:08

Yes she did say the 4d images look the same but I thought that maybe it was quite noticeable to be a girl as its the same on all 4 of my 4d pics. I know its defo not the cord either as that was over babys shoulder. Im just frustrated as i never had a potty shot to compare as they seem to be easier to spot the differences. Il see what they say at my 20 week, thank you for replying 🙂 x
