No agenda to this post other than the curiosity of people looking on things with hindsight.
For anybody with children.. Given the chance, what would you do differently in the early days following your birth?
Baby/visitors/self care/worries/priorities.. Any topic really!

I had so much bad advice with feeding. I would use my common sense a lot more!

Silly one: I would take a proper small suitcase into hospital with everything packed nicely.

I’d have really been firm about my birth choices. I allowed myself to be talked into a natural birth and it was bloody awful and I ended up with an emergency c section anyway.

With DD I thought she was feeding more or less nonstop. She was actually feeding, falling asleep and then using me as a dummy. Result was very sore nipples! It was about eight weeks later that a lactation specialist identified what was going on. I’d be very tuned in to that happening again, however specific it sounds.
