Hi everyone. I've just found out I'm pregnant again at 36. I already have a 13 year old. I feel my body changing already and very tired and my stomachs bloated.
Is this normal with second pregnancy 😀.
Thanks in advance

Congratulations and good luck.
Very normal to bloat in the 1st trimester, increased water retention and slowing down of the digestive system are often causes. Your muscles relax much quicker after the 1st too.

I'm 36 and pregnant with our 6th, I was so exhausted in the 1st trimester that I expected them to say it was twins again but 2 scans have confirmed just the one. 2nd trimester I've not been as tired and nausea has gone thankfully, 17+1wk atm.

Hey you’re not that old ! You only feel old because you have a teenager.
Congratulations, too.

I fell pregnant at 42, it was not too bad even then.

It is definitely harder the older you get, so you have to pay attention to your body and get it ready. You can’t just pitch up and push! (Unless you were already very fit and healthy.)

But 36 isn’t old. It’s actually pretty average now

Is your BMI and fitness ok? Now the fine weather is here you should try and get fitter, stronger. If you aren’t fit, then do lots of brisk walking, swimming (when pools open) and gentle yoga. Stretching and bending will help with the bloating too. Make sure you are staying thoroughly hydrated, even if it means you are peeing a lot. Fluids actually help reduce bloating.

It will help loads with the birth and what follows, if you can be physically fit, especially if you are working full time up to the due date (sheesh, that was the hard bit, and I admit I caved and stopped at 38 weeks and I would recommend doing similar, if you can possibly save the holiday).

Congratulations

I’m 22w pregnant with our third and 39. I felt exactly the same, extreme tiredness and lots of bloating ! I started to feel better at around 16w, hopefully it will ease quicker for you!

I had twins at 37 - I found pregnancy harder than when I did at age 32 bad that's to be expected with twins! Found the recovery and weight loss after the twins arrival though much better even though I'm older!

Pregnant with 4th at age 41 and definitely finding this pregancy less tiring and easier than my first, 10 years ago! I'm more energetic as a result of running around after a toddler, especially as childcare been closed til this week! It's fine, pregnancy and parenthood can be tiring no matter which age. Rest when you can!

Thank you all for you're comments. I feel very anxious with this one. It was very unexpected I had even gone to the doctors thinking I couldn't have more children as it never happend before now.

I assumed I was an older mum because I've googled (I know I shouldn't) it's made me feel very anxious.
