Hi all!

I'm expecting my first baby at the end of summer and I'm looking to connect with other first time mums and mums who've been there and done that Smile

I don't really know any other pregnant mums and sometimes all the symptoms/hormones can be a bit overwhelming and lonely despite it also being a beautiful journey

Any advice?

Hi, congratulations! I’m also expecting my first baby! It is a bit scary, and at first I was so worried about everything. I had my 12 week scan last week and I’ve seemed to be less worried after that! How far along are you? Have you told anyone yet?

Mrsmch123 · 10/03/2021 07:37

Hi I'm also a first time mum. I'm due in July. I'm forever googling things and searching this website. Especially at 2 in the morning when I can't sleep😂

AdventuresAwait · 10/03/2021 08:07

Hi! I'm a first time Mum too. I'm 14 weeks tomorrow, due 9th September. I'd also like to connect with others Smile.

@AdventuresAwait @Firstimehere hi how are you?how are yous finding your pregnancy so far?

MummyLE · 10/03/2021 08:17

Hi girls! I'm a FTM too! Due 1st June. Less than 12 weeks to go! Shock

AdventuresAwait · 10/03/2021 10:01

@Mrsmch123, hi! I'm feeling OK thanks. Quite tired and still having morning sickness nausea (not no vomiting). I have headaches occasionally but the main issue I have is lower back pain. I was trying to walk every day but it is too painful at the moment. My consultant has referred me for physio so hopefully that will help. And I'll swim when pools reopen.
Overall, I'm really excited! Had an early scan (privately as I wanted some reassurance) and had my 12 week scan last week. Can't wait to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. We're having a scan at 17 weeks to find out.

How are you feeling? Xx

Hi ladies I'm a FTM too due 25th may eek! Just wanted to share in case it's of any interest to anyone I watched the free online mini antenatal class with the baby academy which I thought was brilliant. mybabyacademy.co.uk/free-online-workshop/ covers bathing, sleeping, dressing, nappy changing, skin care etc. They also do a breastfeeding class (also free) which I'd also recommend if anyone is thinking of giving it a go.

I have no connection with them, not trying to sell them as I never paid for anything I've only done the free classes just wanted to share as I didnt have a clue about some of it! It suddenly dawned on me... I've never been responsible for choosing a baby's outfit what the hell do you dress a baby in Confused

@ndinah Are you due in August? If so there’s a group of us all over in the Birth Clubs section, it really has been invaluable! ☺️

Mrsmch123 · 10/03/2021 11:42

@MummyLE it's just flying in!do you know what your having?
@AdventuresAwait I'm doing great. I don't even feel pregnant most of the time....not sure how much longer I will get away with that as I'm almost 24 weeks!hopefully your back situation gets resolved!Ive had loads of private scans just because I could lol, nothing better than seeing your little one x

AdventuresAwait · 10/03/2021 11:59

That's great @Mrsmch123, glad you're feeling so well. Yes, I would have another scan now but trying to wait.. 3 more weeks to go!

Thanks for sharing the link @LemonRizzle! I just booked my place Smile.

aug2ftm · 10/03/2021 12:11

I’m a FTM too! Due mid-late July, so 21 weeks pregnant at the moment :)

Mrsmch123 · 10/03/2021 14:08

Hi @aug2ftm. Hope you are well😊

MummyLE · 10/03/2021 16:21

@Mrsmch123 we found out just before Christmas that we having a boySmile. I was completely convinced that it would be a girl. Still happy though!

I know what you mean with the private scans! I've had loads. The latest was a 4D scan at 25 weeks and I've told myself it's the last one, especially now I feel him kicking all the time. It's all the reassurance I need. Would definitely recommend a 4D scan though - it's amazing seeing their little features Smile

Mrsmch123 · 10/03/2021 17:05

@MummyLE awww lovely! We are having a boy too. We had a private scan on Monday. The lady switched on the 4d but he's still too small to see him properly but what we could see was super cute. He defo has my nose. We are going back at 28 weeks to get it done properly.
