Potty shot 17 weeks 2 days what do you think baby is boy or girl

@AugustMummyxo they have told me boy at my private scan but at first said she was really struggling to see ect and a few people have told me girl so now I’m worried incase they got it wrong they have offered me a rescan on Monday but I’m just wanting to see what people on here think x

I also think girl because of the 3 lines?
I've read that's what they look for!

I'm unsure. My girl was very clear 3 lines.

@oohmama this is what everyone has told me I’m not bothered about the gender I’m so happy as long as baby is healthy but it’s the worry of me buying colour clothes and things and baby being the opposite I’ve got my rescan on Monday I’m just curious to what you ladies say on here as well I thought it was less chance of mistake from boy to girl than it is to girl to boy I guess what’s making me worry is the fact she told me how difficult she was finding it and how she struggled with the whole scan cause baby was moving so much x

@Scbchl I read this article just before posting this thread and that made me even more confused as to what I’m having haha I’m so unsure because of how unsure she seemed at my scan xx

@OneForTheJourney I have two boys and can’t remember their potty shots to be like this but I don’t know what I’m looking at really x

@Username2021 hmm tricky one. I mean I'm no expert but my little boys scan at 16 weeks was a very obvious 'shape' and your scan looks the same as all the girl scans I've seen.

Can only wait until Monday for a rescan. Otherwise the 20 week scan should be much clearer.

I think girl too but hopefully at the rescan they will be able to give you a more 'definitive' answer.

@AugustMummyxo yep I will know sooner or later when baby is here lol but I’m the same every scan I’ve seen boys have been pretty obviously especially this far xx

@Sceptre86 I agree my partner said “ I don’t think we should take the rescan answer as a definite either now we will go off our 20 weeks scan” hahaha so I think I’m going to do that but I’ll be shocked if they do say girl at the rescan xx

Well there's generally 3 lines for a girl. I wouldn't post that kind of thing on here though. You'll find out one way or another regardless of strangers squinting at your baby's potty shot.

Id say girl as it looks nothing like the one I have from my son’s scan, but he was a couple of weeks after this.
Hopefully your re-scan clears it up for you 🙂 at least you get to see your baby again!

My boy was an obvious boy at 16+4 but the angle was different to yours. I'd be inclined to say yours is a girl

(Not the round bit where it says boy, that's his thigh - a lot of people got confused when I was pregnant)

My first thought was boy, i got told my baby was a boy at a private scan but it was also very difficult to see it was then confirmed at my 20 week nhs scan that baby was a boy. If your getting another scan just ask for it to be confirmed

What a puzzle. It looks very similar to the shot of my DD - sometimes the labia can look a bit swollen I think. 17 weeks is still quite early, but I also have a DS and the potty shot at that point was very obviously a boy and looked quite different to the photo you posted OP.

I'd say girl with the 3 lines that look like a hamburger lady explained this all to me at my last baby's gender scan! X

If I knew where my little boys scan photos were I'd find them for you - we got it done at 18 weeks and there was a very obvious penis and balls (sorry no point beating round the bush! Although I haven't seen a girl scan to say girl for sure - it doesn't look like a boy to me.

Thank you everybody I will be sure to keep use updated of my rescan on Monday I had a pretty obvious boy scan with my ds2 at 16 weeks also that was as clear as anything think this is also why I’m feeling a little in limbo x
