Hi all. First time posting here and I need a little reassurance I guess. I had some brown spotting almost 2 weeks ago so was referred to my doctors to do a hcg blood test. Normally I know they like to do them 2 days apart but the second day fell into a Saturday so I went Thursday then Monday morning. Hcg came back as 6600 Thursday and 23000 Monday so levels looked to be doubling every 48 hours as normal.
Doctor still wanted me to go for a scan at the EPU to be sure so Wednesday last week off I went.
Now I had a miscarriage naturally in January. 4 weeks after starting to bleed I found I was pregnant again with a clear blue digital test.
So that technically puts me at 7 weeks 3 days right now as a type. I was monitoring my ovulation with tests and I ovulated on day 16 after miscarriage.
I went for my scan on Wednesday last week and she dated me onto 5 weeks (I would have been 6 weeks 5 days at the time of the scan) so naturally I’m a little worried.
They saw a sack and yolk but no fetal pole.
Now if my hcg has carried on rising that would put me awfully high for just 5 weeks.
My pregnancy symptoms also seem to be non existent so I guess I’m just looking for a bit of reassurance if this has happened to anyone else?
I have another scan on Friday and can’t keep thinking of the worst case scenario.
Good or bad stories would be fine, I’d just like to talk to someone who’s been in the same boat from their experience if they’re willing to share.
