Hi ladies,

I’m new here. I’m 26 and ttc baby number 1.

I came off the pill in November and have been trying with the OH since. I had a positive ovulation test (clear blue dual- peak reading) on 21st Feb, assuming I ovulated on the day after I would now be 13 dpo.
Aunt Flo normally comes every 27 or 28 days for me, I’m now on cycle day 30! Although based on my ovulation date my apps have pushed her to supposedly start tomorrow, giving a 31 day cycle.

I took a clear blue digital early detection this morning and it came up not pregnant. I dismantled it to bin as per instructions and the strip inside had a vfl although it was a good bit after I took the test so could be an evap!

Has anyone had a similar experience and got a bfp? Holding out for tomorrow’s first morning urine!!

Digitals always have two lines.

Since when have you been asked to dismantle them to bin them? You just put the lid on and bin them, they specifically tell you not to take them apart!

Don't dismantle pregnancy tests, any results are invalid if you do anyway. They're not designed to be taken apart.

If you still think you're pregnant then test again in a weeks time.

You should never dismantl the tests as they will always have 2 or even 3 lines on the inside. They aren't accurate at all. once opened.
Also digital tests aren't very sensitive so you'd be better off using first response early response tests as they are sensitive. I used them for all 5 of mine and they didn't steer me wrong.
I'd say wait a few days and test again but the lines inside your test don't mean anything unfortunately

Oh it said on my leaflet to take the battery out before binning so I pulled it apart Blush
Planning on testing again tomorrow with fmu anyway, I was just curious Smile

If you test daily you might want to try first response or cheap pink dye tests, fewer issues with evaps than clear blue. I bought a bunch of internet cheapies and never had to worry about interpreting the results again, either one line or two.

springtimesunshine · 07/03/2021 15:47

Yeah Clearblue won't pick it up it it's early anyway, you're better getting a First Response Early one.

BrookeCole94 · 07/03/2021 15:51

Thanks ladies! I’ve ordered some first response on Amazon prime so if no Aunt Flo tomorrow will try again Tuesday Smile still early in my journey so trying to be patient and learn as I go with these things!

Clearblue digital will always have 2 or 3 lines because it picks up traces of other types of HCG we have in our bodies. The little computer will scan how dark the test line is, if it's faint you'll normally get a not pregnant and that's correct and if it's dark it'll mean pregnant.
