I am worried that my sister will react badly to finding out I'm pregnant. She is a year and a half older than me and we have been close for our whole lives. We text most every day and before the pandemic we would hangout often. When I was younger I would say I didn't want kids, but it was because I didn't want kids with the wrong person. My sister never wanted kids and says she hates children (despite enjoying her husbands niece and her friends child). I am almost 30 and married now and am thrilled to be having a child with my husband, but I am scared to tell my sister. Any advice?

I’m sure she will be happy for you when you tell her and she sees how happy you are. Given your lovely relationship together I can’t see why she’d be anything but happy for you. A lot of people say they don’t want/like kids but once a close family member has a baby they fall in love with them. I think you’ll be fine don’t worry x
