Hi All
Long story short
35+2 weeks
Woke up at 3am with strange back ache which moved around to bump uncomfortable managed to get back to sleep 7 till 9 when I got up pain still there bump very hard and uncomfortable pain doesn't change if Iove around or change position..... When I say pain it's uncomfortable not unbearable.... The reason I didn't get checked out is because I was home alone with DC
Do you think this is practise labour iv not had a show or any waters go?

My second labour started with period like pains for a few hours then the pain started to be come in waves but still not painful. Gradually the waves built up to proper labour - pain started about 10pm, was 6cm dilated by about 2pm the following day. Water didn't break till I was almost ready to push. My first was different - waters broke out of the blue about 5pm and I gave birth about 3am the same night. Towards the end though everything is so uncomfortable it's difficult to tell! You'll know though when it really sets in so see how you go. Good luck!

You don't have to have a show or waters go to be in labour.
However, this sounds exactly what I've been having recently and have had with all my pregnancies.
So I don't think it's labour.
If you're concerned, get checked though

Thank you.... I just feel silly ringing/going to hospital if its nothing. I'm just waiting for mother to come so someone's in the house whilst I get in the bath.... I have a fear of getting stuck I know it sounds silly

Doesn't sound silly at all. I struggled to get out the bath. Have had to get my partner to help me a few times haha.

If you start getting contractions and regular period type pain coming and going, make sure you call ASAP as you're still early and it would mean baby would have to stay in hospital
