Teachers before 28 weeks

Hi!
I'm a primary teacher and am currently 14 weeks pregnant. My head teacher was made aware of my pregnancy at about 5 weeks so that a risk assessment could be put in place. I've asked a few times now about the risk assessment from our site manager and the head and still haven't seen a copy. I'm quite worried as the younger children find social distancing hard and this and increased handwashing seem to be the only pieces of guidance given by the DFE before 28 weeks.
Can anyone share what measures were put in place for them before 28 weeks please? And how hard to I push to see the risk assessment?
Thanks

You should be involved in writing the risk assessment so keep pushing for it. Prior to 28 weeks I requested to wear a face mask or visor at all times in the classroom. I also spoke to my Class about keeping their distance wherever they could, mine range from year 2-4 so they did their best. You could also request a screen around your desk if needs be? I didn’t get one but i felt ok with the mask or visor. I’m now 35 weeks so working from home since 28 weeks x

Thanks @JLM1008 I read that I was supposed to be involved but they said it was just a generic pregnancy risk assessment and they don't do individual ones (the information is very varied on this)
The screen would be a great idea, thank you!

Hello! I’m 22 weeks, secondary school teachers, don’t want to go back tomorrow 🙈 the only extra things I have are things I’ve done myself - but these are quite different to things in primary, eg asked to be on outdoor only duties, I won’t be sitting any students that don’t have masks on in my front row etc. I have a big makeshift screen around my desk that I made out of my science safety screens. I’ve also bought a badge that says keep 2m away which I’m going to wear 😂 and I’ll explain to all the students not to come near. I’ll be minimising walking around the classroom and making sure no staff without masks come near me (some are still oblivious apparently), and going to the loo during lesson time not break times so that I don’t have to pass through the narrow corridors which get very busy with students x

@katiemumma20 thanks for sharing! The science safety screens sound very handy. I love the badge idea, might try that one 😂
