Positive early pregnancy test but plus 3+ weeks?!

Hi,

I’ve just taken a clear blue early detection test, as well as a digital dating test. The line was very clear on the early detection and digital said pregnant 3+.

I’m a bit confused because I’m testing 5 days early and I am thrilled to have such a clear line however, I have been tracking ovulation using clear blue digital and I only had my peak on 24th February- so surely shouldn’t be 3+ weeks plus?

My period isn’t due until Thursday and praying it doesn’t come and the pregnancy continues. My last period was normal, not really heavy or really light and it happened and happened nearly 4 weeks ago.

Does anyone have any answers?

Sounds like your HCG is really high.
I'm no expert though.
Congratulations on your pregnancy

One possibility is you ovulated earlier than you thought, and your ovulation test was picking up your hcg (they do that) and you were already pregnant at the time you thought you were just ovulating.

Thanks both of you. I’m just a bit worried as I had a miscarriage in October. It’s hard when you’re so out of control xx
