Loss of mucus plug

So I'm 37+6 and yesterday evening I noticed a small amount of jelly like clear mucus in my underwear, husband agreed that it was jelly and clear (need the confirmation cos I get too much in my head about stuff hah) it was also very different to any discharge I've ever had. After a shower and after drying a lot more came out but I wouldn't say more than a teaspoon. I've had no more (yet) today but plan on going a walk with a friend to try get things moving. Husband said last night my bump was looking lower but oddly I haven't had any cramps, twinges or 'lightening crotch' yesterday but did spend the day in bed due to not sleeping well.
I also went to the bathroom for a number 2 twice yesterday which has been unheard of for me since I was about 15 weeks and usually manage to go 2/3 times a week.

What are others time frame of loosing plug to then going into labour. My husband can't drive yet (lockdown 🙄) so relying on family to take me to hospital which is 40 minutes away so trying to be prepared. I also had a cervical stitch removed at 36+4 so I'm hoping this is the beginning of labour as I'm getting really fed up now.
Any stories/time frames would be appreciated :)

(also, polyhydramnios. Had 11cm (I think that's what the measurement) of water at my last scan last week)

I also feel like the babys movements have changed slightly. They are still kicking/moving ten times in an hour and I'm not worried but I deffo think something has changed 😑

Good luck, I lost my plug when I was already 9 hours into contractions.

I think they can redevelop if lost too early though?

Mucus plug tends to be not clear. More like yellow, maybe brown (it's been in there for awhile!!!). If streaked with pink/ red, it's a bloody show and means labour is pretty imminent.

You may be close, you might not be. You can lose plug weeks before labour.

Is this your first baby? Labours tends to be longer with your first, which would hopefully give you the time you need to get where you need to be!! I get it though - my hospital is over an hour away with traffic (about 45 mins no traffic, eh middle of the night).

Good luck!!

My midwife said it wouldnt always be bloody/pink and could be clear which is why I'm wondering if labour is going to be happening soon, I know it could be another 2/3 even 4 weeks! I hope not though.
I've been told throughout my pregnancy it is unlikely I will go full term so everything is putting me on edge hoping the big moment has arrived

If movements have changed please get checked. 10 in an hour is just guidance, you know your baby best. If you think something is off please get checked

I agree with Pp if movements have changed, get checked. The 10 in an hour is outdated and don't show if something is wrong. In relation to your mucus plug though, I lost what seemed like all of mine at 39 weeks and didn't go into labour until 42 weeks when I was induced.

Could it just be a show that you’ve had, rather than the whole mucus plug?
When I lost my mucus plug it wasn’t just a little blob. It was an obscene amount of stuff that came out Blush. I don’t that’s the same with everyone though.
The first baby it happened when I was in labour, and the second baby it happened in the afternoon and I went into labour that evening.

With my first child I went into labour a week after mucous plug

I lost my mucus plug 5/6 weeks before going into labour, I got excited thinking it might mean it’s happening and I wouldn’t go over due....still went overdue hahah

Day I went into labour the mucus plug had blood where as before that point it was clear and jelly like. Read it just regenerates until labour so it looked like I had sneezed in my pants for a good number of weeks 🤣
