When did your bump drop? 3rd baby

Exactly what the title says. This is my third baby and I feel like the braxton hicks have gotten so much more frequent/worse. Bump has considerably dropped, few mums commented on it at the school run.

Did bump dropping and increased braxton hicks mean labour was close, if you have more than one child?

Hmmm. I've had 4 (expecting DC5) and not one of them has ever dropped or engaged :( . Equally 3 out of 4 were induced so maybe there is something in that.

I have had increasingly stronger and earlier BH though in 3, 4 and 5 and i still went to 42wks with 3 and was induced at 40wks with 4. So that didn't mean anything for me 😭 But the labours were quicker than 1&2.

How long have you got left?

Bump dropping is a promising sign that baby is getting ready and well engaged. Good luck, hopefully will not be too long.

The singletons were well engaged by 37/38wks. 1st was induced and arrived at 39+6 after 3 days labor. 2nd was huge so head well down and feet still tucked up under my ribs, came at 40+5 after 6 days slow labor. 3rd again was big and came at 40+2 after 2 days labor. My twins never engaged as the lower one turned breech between 32 & 36wk scans, delivered by cesarean at 38wk.

I can’t remember when I was engaged with my first two. Ds1 was born at 36+3 weeks. Ds2 at 39+6.

I’ve had BH since about 20 weeks this time but they are almost constant throughout the day now, just not quite lasting long enough or painful enough to be actual contractions.

I’m only 31+5 so I’m hoping labour is not anywhere near yet, but I do feel like this baby will make an early appearance

I'm 30 weeks today, and I noticed my bump has dropped since yesterday!, it used to be right under my breast now its so low, and I feel constant pressure.

With my 1st, Bump didn't drop till labour.
2nd, I went into premature labour at 22 weeks.
This is my "third" pregnancy
Depending on what I read, it can just be a normal thing, or a sign of imminent labour! In my case, I'm hoping it's not too imminent!
