Placenta Praevia - 36 weeks

Hello Smile

I have complete placenta praevia, currently 36 weeks and have a planned section booked for 37 weeks (plus I've had steroid injections today and tomorrow).

Did anyone in this situation get told they have to be in hospital for the week before the section due to the risk of bleeding? I haven't bled yet, thankfully. I've only just been told today by the consultant that I should have been admitted this morning. My understanding was only where you have bled/regularly bleeding you would need to be admitted to hospital until the section.

Will probably end up going in, as advised, due to the risk but just wanted to get a feel for what others had experienced/been told in the same situation.

Thanks!! Xx
