Just wondering if anyone could send some hope this way and let me know your experiences.

I did a clearblue digital test yesterday and came up pregnant 1-2 weeks, I did another one later in the day and it also said pregnant 1-2 weeks, I’ve done a Morrison’s own test today and shows negative.

I’m just wondering how unreliable the digital clearblue tests are and which one to believe 🤯. Got a million things running through my head now!!!

Thanks in advance ❤️

Did you do the Morrison’s one at a different time of day? Is it totally negative or is there a faint line? (Because that still counts)

Both tests are reliable so it could be that your urine was less concentrated when you did the Morrison’s one

The morrisons own test may not be as sensitive as the clearblue, it's rare to get a false positive. I would retest in 2-3 days with 1st morning urine to confirm.
If you get a negative then you may have had a chemical pregnancy. Good luck

A false positive is very rare. Especially when it's a digital one

Thank you for all your replies ladies, my two digital ones yesterday were actually later in the day then my Morrison’s one. I will do a retest in a few days 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

My morrisons one came back stark white when my first response and clear blue were blazing positive, with the same pee. I don't rate the morrisons ones at all (I'm now 20 weeks so the cb and fr were right!)

Usually on the packet/leaflet it states at what level of hCG it will create a positive result. I would hazard a guess that the Morrisons one requires a higher hCG number to turn positive. I noticed on their website that despite being labelled an early detection test, there are reviews stating that it wasn't sensitive enough to turn positive until after a missed period.

If you wait a week until after your period is due, your levels should be high enough for any pregnancy test to turn positive. x

Clear blue are very sensitive, that and early at home got me early positives actually 8dpo... 9 days before my period. One step are rubbish. First response are ok.

I worked for the company that makes Clearblue for many years. They also make the majority of the ones sold as supermarket own brand. Clearblue digital are the latest technology and can't detect very tiny amounts of the Hcg hormone produced when you are pregnant. The supermarket ones use the older technology (hence they are cheaper) and need much more hcg in your wee to give a positive result.

You can't really get false positives btw. Especially twice. You ONLY produce hcg if you're pregnant and the test only picks that up. You can get false negatives however. So basically you ARE pregnant, it will just take another week or so to show up on the cheaper older style tests.

Congratulations!

HeartShapedMoon · 04/03/2021 04:44

Aghhh should say CAN detect tiny amounts.

Thank you so much for this information, I’ve actually done another cheap one when I woke up this morning with first urine and there’s a definite line there now so looks like baby number 2 is on their way😍.
Thank you everyone for your help and advice x

I know this is random but when u break open a clear blue digital and it has 2 lines does that mean your pregnant

There are 3 lines on 2 strips of a digital. If you Google "inside a clearblue digital" you can see what each result looks like.
Chelyanne · 04/03/2021 09:38

@Sophiehope congratulations & good luck

Alicespring · 04/03/2021 10:03

@Lolly34h
No there are always 2 lines inside the clear blue regardless of the result
