Baby Clothes Sizing

Hello ladies,

I'm 30 weeks (FTM) and am starting to pack my hospital bags. I'm Type 1 Diabetic so will be induced somewhere between 36 - 38 weeks. I'm trying to decide what to do about clothing sizes for baby.

Being Diabetic, I'm at risk of baby being on the larger side. How many of each size (newborn and up to 1m) would you take in?

After birth, how long did it take for your little ones to need 0-3 months? Just trying to be prepared Grin

TIA xx

In my experience, babies stay very scrunchie for the first few weeks. I found newborn too big for both of mine (7lb 8 and 6lb 7.5oz). So I would pack 3 to 5 newborn and 2 or 3 up to 1month.
Mine were both in 0-3 within the first month. Dd is now 6 weeks and in 3-6months

My newborn was over 9lbs so fit in to newborn stuff for a week then was in 0-3 months stuff

So take a few of everything. The best thing I did was to take a main bag of stuff in to the hospital then leave an “overflow” bag with more clothes for me, for the baby, fluffy towels, shampoo etc etc just in case you’re kept in for longer and saves your husband going home and picking you out a pair of bikini bottoms and some bubble bath by accident

My 7lb 6 Oz boy was in newborn for about 1-2 weeks then it was 0-3 months.

However my beast of a baby who is now 10 weeks now fits 6-9 month clothing Confused, he grew quick!

My 8lb 4 baby was in newborn until she was 8 weeks then 0-3.
